Simon has over 30 years’ experience in the securities industry having started his career working on UK Government privatisation programmes. He then joined SG Warburg & Co where he was seconded to Mercury Asset Management. His formal career in private client investment management began in 1988 when he joined Laing & Cruickshank Investment Management where he became a Manager. Simon was promoted to Associate Director at UBS Wealth Management when Laing & Cruickshank was taken over in 2004. In 2006 he moved to Cheviot Asset Management and managed bespoke portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities. He joined Vermeer Partners in 2019. Simon attended King’s College, London and Birkbeck College and studied for his Stock Exchange exams at City University in 1987. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
