John has many years experience in investment management having started his career in 1982 at Laing & Cruickshank and becoming a member of The Stock Exchange in 1986. His career has spanned investment roles at UBS Wealth Management, Cheviot Asset Management and Quilter Cheviot before joining Vermeer Partners in 2019 as a founding partner. He is responsible for managing portfolios on behalf of individuals, trusts, charities and private pension funds. John is a member of the Fixed Income & Alternatives Committee, and sits on the partnership's Nominations & Remuneration and Executive Committees. John graduated from Bristol University in 1981 with a BA (Hons) in Ancient Mediterranean Studies and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment.
