John has many years experience in investment management having started his career in 1982 at Laing & Cruickshank and becoming a member of The Stock Exchange in 1986. His career has spanned investment roles at UBS Wealth Management, Cheviot Asset Management and Quilter Cheviot before joining Vermeer Partners in 2019 as a founding partner. He is responsible for managing portfolios on behalf of individuals, trusts, charities and private pension funds. John is a member of the partnership's Equities & Strategies, Nominations & Remuneration, and Executive Committees. He graduated from Bristol University with a BA (Hons) in Ancient Mediterranean Studies and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment.
