Gerald Rothwell

Investment Director

Gerald began his career in investment management with Heseltine Moss before moving to Laing & Cruickshank in 1986, where he remained following the acquisition by UBS. He was a founding partner of Cheviot Asset Management, remaining with the firm following the merger with Quilter. Gerald joined Vermeer Partners in 2019, again as a founding partner. He has managed portfolios for private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities for over 30 years. Gerald is a member of the partnership's Investment and Executive Committees and also serves on the board of Vermeer Investment Management Limited. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Economics & Geography and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment. Gerald is a Governor of Christ’s Hospital, Director of the Richard Reeves Foundation, Trustee of The Vermeer Partners Charitable Trust, Member of the Institute of Directors and a past Prime Warden of the Dyers Livery Company.
